Compared with the naturally aspirated engine, the turbocharged engine is a bit "hypocritical". If it is not maintained properly, it may increase the failure rate of the turbocharger.
1. Check frequently and keep the vehicle in good condition
For turbocharged engine models, you need to check regularly to see if there are any signs of oil leakage in the engine compartment, and listen to the sound of air leakage after hitting the car, because there are many vacuum lines around the turbocharged engine. Leaks may occur at these pipeline interfaces, and timely detection and elimination of these hidden dangers are very helpful to maintain the health of the engine. If there are some abnormal phenomena during use, such as weak acceleration, serious oil consumption, etc., you should go to the 4S shop for maintenance as soon as possible to avoid damage to parts.
2. Regular maintenance and frequent oil changes
In addition to the mass of the turbocharged engine is larger than that of the ordinary naturally aspirated engine, the requirements for oil quality are also higher. Because the design of the turbocharger is different from that of a naturally aspirated engine, its main shaft adopts a floating design, and the turbine body and the main shaft are filled with oil. The entire main shaft relies on lubricating oil to dissipate heat and lubricate, and the viscosity of inferior oil is relatively high. Large, less mobile, and unable to function well. Wheel Valley recommends car owners to replace the vehicle with fully synthetic oil. The turbocharger should also be maintained on time, and the oil and filter should be kept clean, otherwise the lubricating ability of the oil will decrease, resulting in the premature scrapping of the turbocharger. The air filter should also be cleaned regularly to prevent impurities such as dust from entering.
