3. Do not turn off the engine immediately after parking

For turbocharged models, starting and stopping can not go to extremes. Similar to starting, turbocharged models cannot stop immediately after stopping. During the normal operation of the turbocharger, due to the very high temperature, the lubrication effect between the various components is also the best. If the engine is turned off immediately after parking, the turbo will idle at a high speed, and the oil pump has stopped supplying lubrication to the turbocharger at this time. oil, which will also damage the turbine components and cause even more serious wear. Especially after running a high-speed car, after parking, it is best to idle the car for a while and then turn off the car to ensure that the engine oil system and cooling system run for a while to cool down by themselves, which reduces the probability of causing turbine problems. It can lubricate the turbine components well and can also effectively cool down. If the engine is turned off immediately, this kind of driving behavior will often cause the vehicle to be in a high-speed idling state. The problem is the same as sudden acceleration, which will damage the vehicle's bearings.

4. Keep it clean

The turbocharger runs very fast, and the shaft seal has very high requirements on oil and air quality. The unclean air contains too much dust, which is easy to cause premature wear of the high-speed turbocharger. The air contains a lot of impurities. Once these dust particles enter the supercharger impeller running at a high speed, the dust particles will hit the supercharger impeller, resulting in unstable turbine operation and wear of shaft sleeves and seals. Therefore, it is necessary to clean the air filter on time to prevent impurities such as dust from entering the high-speed rotating compressor impeller, resulting in unstable rotation speed or increased wear of shaft sleeves and seals. It should be noted that when disassembling the supercharger, each pipe joint must be blocked with a clean cloth to prevent debris from falling into the supercharger and damaging the rotor.

5. It is not advisable to hit the accelerator pedal when starting

After the engine is started, especially in winter, it should be allowed to idle for a period of time to allow the lubricating oil to fully lubricate the bearings before the supercharger rotor runs at high speed. Therefore, after starting the vehicle, do not step on the accelerator pedal abruptly. It should run at idle speed for 3 to 5 minutes, so that the oil pump has sufficient time to deliver the oil to various parts of the turbocharger. At the same time, after the oil temperature rises slowly, the fluidity Better, and then start driving, which effectively avoids wear and tear. Moreover, after the vehicle is started, the turbocharged speed is very high, but there is not sufficient lubrication at this time. If the accelerator pedal is slammed with big feet during the warm-up process, it will not only be a burden to the engine, but also may increase the turbocharger. Supercharger wear and oil seal damage. Idling naturally or driving slowly is the best way to warm up a turbo car.
