Before the early engine had no turbocharging technology, the air intake was determined by the air volume of the cylinder inhaled by the piston. Because the cylinder volume was fixed, the high power of the engine could only be fixed at this level.

So what is turbocharging? Because the air intake of the self-priming engine is limited, and its power level performance is general, in order to get more power without changing the physical structure of the engine, a technology similar to a blower is used. the thrust of the engine exhaust gas is used to drive the turbine. The turbine rotates with its coaxial compressor, and the compressor rotates and presses air into the engine, thus solving the problem of limited air intake. After the engine air intake increases, it is mixed with more foggy fuel, and more power can be output after explosive combustion. This is the principle of turbocharging technology. 

Turbocharging has no mechanical connection with the engine, it is the reuse of engine exhaust thrust, so as to increase the air intake of the engine.
